Itinerary

Day 1Marrakech → High Atlas → Aït Ben Haddou → Dades Valley (≈ 370 km)

Your driver picks you up from your Marrakech riad at 7:30–8:00 AM. We immediately climb into the High Atlas Mountains, winding through the famous Tizi n’Tichka pass with panoramic stops above Berber villages.

Mid-morning, explore the magnificent Aït Ben Haddou Kasbah – the most photographed fortified village in Morocco and a UNESCO site featured in Gladiator and Game of Thrones. Guided walk included.

After lunch, travel through the Valley of Roses and Skoura palm grove to the dramatic Dades Valley. Overnight in a beautiful riad with canyon views, dinner included.

Day 2Dades Valley → Todra Gorge → Merzouga Sahara Desert (≈ 270 km)

After breakfast, short drive to the breathtaking Todra Gorge – 300-meter cliffs with a refreshing river below. Perfect for photos and a gentle walk.

Continue through fossil towns and date palm oases to the gateway of the Sahara. Arrive in Merzouga around 4:30 PM, leave luggage at the hotel, and set off on a 1.5-hour camel trek into the heart of Erg Chebbi as the sun sets in fiery colors.

Welcome to your private luxury desert camp with en-suite tents, hot showers, and real beds. Enjoy a traditional dinner, Berber music around the campfire, and the clearest night sky you’ll ever see.

Day 3Merzouga → Middle Atlas → Fes (≈ 470 km)

Optional early wake-up for sunrise over the dunes (highly recommended!). After breakfast and camel ride (or 4×4) back to Merzouga, we begin the scenic journey north.

Stop in Rissani, Erfoud, and the Ziz Valley before entering the Middle Atlas Mountains. Spot wild Barbary apes in the cedar forests near Azrou and visit Ifrane, Morocco’s “Little Switzerland” with its alpine architecture.

Arrive in Fes around 6:00–7:00 PM and be dropped off directly at your riad in the medina.
