Itinerary

Day 1Fes → Ifrane → Midelt → Ziz Valley → Merzouga (≈ 460 km)

Your private 4×4 and English-speaking driver pick you up from your Fes riad at 8:00 AM. We immediately head south through the Middle Atlas.

Stops include:

Ifrane (“Moroccan Switzerland”) with its alpine architecture
Azrou cedar forest – meet the wild Barbary apes
Midelt – lunch with views over the High Atlas
Panoramic Ziz Valley – one of Morocco’s largest palm oases

Arrive in Merzouga around 5:00 PM, enjoy mint tea, then ride camels into the dunes as the sun sets in spectacular colors. Welcome to your authentic Berber desert camp – dinner, drumming, and a sky full of stars.

Day 2Full Day Exploring the Merzouga Dunes & Surroundings

Wake up for an optional sunrise climb (the most beautiful in Morocco!). After breakfast, choose your adventure:

Option A – Relaxed day: sandboarding, photography, or simply enjoy the silence of the dunes Option B – 4×4 Desert Excursion (included):

Visit Gnawa musicians in Khamlia village
Meet nomadic families living in tents
Explore the fossil workshops of Erfoud

Return to camp in the late afternoon. Tonight, stay in your private luxury desert camp with en-suite tent, hot shower, and comfortable beds. Dinner under the stars with live music.

Day 3Merzouga → Erfoud → Tinghir → Todra Gorge → Dades Valley (≈ 270 km)

Sunrise camel ride back (or 4×4 transfer). After breakfast, we leave the dunes behind and drive through the protected Erfoud oasis, famous for dates and ancient sea fossils.

Continue to Tinghir and walk inside the dramatic Todra Gorge – 300-meter red cliffs with a refreshing river below. In the afternoon, arrive in the spectacular Dades Valley. Overnight in a beautiful kasbah-style riad with panoramic terrace and dinner included.

Day 4Dades Valley → Valley of Roses → Aït Ben Haddou → Marrakech (≈ 330 km)

After breakfast, drive through the fragrant Valley of Roses and Skoura palm grove. Mid-morning guided visit to the UNESCO-listed Aït Ben Haddou Kasbah – the most iconic fortified village in Morocco (Game of Thrones, Gladiator).

Cross the High Atlas via the breathtaking Tizi n’Tichka pass (2,260 m) with final photo stops. Drop-off at your Marrakech riad or hotel around 6:30–7:30 PM.
