Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1: Ouarzazate → Aït Benhaddou → Draa Valley → Zagora Dunes (Sunset Camel Ride & Desert Camp)
- Morning pickup from your Ouarzazate hotel, riad, or film studio area (09:00)
- Guided visit to UNESCO-listed Kasbah Aït Benhaddou – the most famous fortified village in Morocco (Game of Thrones, Gladiator, The Mummy…)
- Scenic drive along the Draa Valley – over 200 km of continuous palm groves, ancient ksour, and emerald-green fields
- Stop at Agdz for panoramic photos and a quick walk inside a traditional kasbah
- Continue to Zagora, the historic “52 days to Timbuktu” caravan town
- Late afternoon: 1-hour camel ride into the wild dunes of Tinfou or Nakhla
- Sunset from the top of the dunes – golden light over endless desert
- Arrive at your private desert camp:
→ Choose Luxury tent (en-suite bathroom, hot shower, comfortable beds)
→ or Traditional Berber camp (authentic nomad tents, shared facilities, incredible atmosphere) - Mint tea, tagine dinner around the fire, Berber music under the stars
- Overnight in the peaceful silence of the Sahara
Day 2: Desert Sunrise → Zagora → Draa Valley → Return to Ouarzazate
- Wake up for an optional sunrise over the dunes (the desert turns pink and orange)
- Hearty Berber breakfast in camp
- Short morning visit to the famous “Timbuktu 52 days” sign and Zagora’s small but colorful souk (if Wednesday or Sunday)
- Relaxed return through the Draa Valley with extra photo stops in hidden palm oases
- Optional lunch in a local kasbah restaurant (stunning views included)
- Arrival back in Ouarzazate between 16:00–17:00
- Option: extend the same day to Marrakech (+3.5 hours) at no extra cost
