Our trip through the desert starts in Ouarzazate and ends with a stay at the Erg Chebbi Dunes near Merzouga. We will stop at the Dades Valley and the Toudra Gorges, as well as other places, towns, and oases along the way. When the trip is over, you’ll be taken back to Ouarzazate, where you can look around the Kasbahs and nearby towns.
After breakfast, our trip to the desert will begin from Ouarzazate. The Skoura oasis will be our first stop. Next, we’ll see the beautiful Amridel Kasbah and the rose valley of Kalaat Mgouna. After that, we’ll go to the Dades Valley, which is famous for having many kasbahs. We are going to stop here to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the Dades Gorges, where many migrant families live. The last place we’ll stay is a classic riad.
After having breakfast, we will leave the Dades Valley. Our plan calls for a trip to the mysterious Berber village of Mharch Tafraoute. Still, we’ll start by checking out places like Alnif and some less well-known towns, like Tazoulate and Fzou, where we’ll have a picnic. We will finally get to Mharch Tafraoute and spend the night at a lovely guest house.
Today, our Desert Tour from Ouarzazate, we will be going to the village of Merzouga to stay. We will start our trip by going to the palm plantations of Tafilalet, which we will explore in our 4×4 car. Our next stop will be Rissani, which is the holy land of the Moroccan royal family.
It is also an old market that was the center of many caravan routes from the Sub-Saharan area. After that, we’ll ride horses to our desert camp in the Erg Chebbi dunes, where we’ll spend the night in a way that we’ll never forget.
In Merzouga village, we will watch the sunrise in all its glory, and then we will take a 4×4 to the palm fields of Tafilalet. After lunch in Alnif, we will go to Rissani, Tazarine, N’kob, Tansikht, and Agdez. This will be the end of our 4-day tour from Ouarzazate to the Merzouga desert.
