Itinerary

Day 1Marrakech – High Atlas – Aït Benhaddou – Dades Valley (≈ 370 km)

Your adventure begins at 7:30–8:00 AM with pick-up from your Marrakech riad or hotel. We immediately head toward the High Atlas Mountains, driving through the breathtaking Tizi n’Tichka pass with frequent stops for photos of Berber villages clinging to the mountainside.

Mid-morning, we reach the legendary Aït Benhaddou Kasbah, the most famous fortified village in Morocco and a filming location for movies such as Gladiator, Game of Thrones, and Kingdom of Heaven. Enjoy a guided walk through its narrow lanes and climb to the top for panoramic views.

After lunch in a local restaurant, we continue through the Valley of Roses and Skoura palm grove toward the Dades Valley. Check into a beautiful riad with stunning views over the valley, enjoy dinner, and spend your first night surrounded by dramatic rock formations.

Day 2Dades Valley – Todra Gorge – Merzouga Sahara Desert (≈ 270 km)

After breakfast, we drive to the spectacular Todra Gorge, where 300-meter-high red cliff walls narrow to just 10 meters apart – perfect for a refreshing morning walk along the riverbed.

We then cross the palm-filled oases of Tinghir, Erfoud (the fossil capital of Morocco), and Rissani before reaching the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi in Merzouga around 4:30 PM.

Leave your luggage at the hotel, hop on your camel, and ride for 1.5 hours into the heart of the Sahara as the sun sets over the dunes in a symphony of orange and pink. Arrive at your private luxury desert camp, enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner, Berber drum music around the campfire, and fall asleep under an ocean of stars.

Day 3Merzouga – Ouarzazate – Marrakech (≈ 560 km)

Wake up early (optional) to watch the sunrise from the top of the highest dune – an experience you’ll never forget. After breakfast at the camp, ride camels back to Merzouga (or return by 4×4 if preferred).

We begin the journey back to Marrakech, stopping in Ouarzazate (the “Hollywood of Africa”) and again crossing the High Atlas Mountains. You’ll be dropped off at your Marrakech accommodation around 7:00–8:00 PM, full of memories and incredible photos.
