Your adventure begins with an early departure from Marrakech. Crossing the scenic Tizi n’Tichka Pass in the High Atlas Mountains, you’ll enjoy spectacular panoramic views of traditional Berber villages and rugged mountain landscapes.
The first major stop is Ait Ben Haddou, Morocco’s most famous fortified village and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This ancient kasbah has served as the backdrop for numerous international films and television productions.
After lunch, continue through Ouarzazate and the Valley of Roses before arriving in the beautiful Dades Valley. Surrounded by dramatic rock formations and lush palm groves, this region offers some of Morocco’s most stunning natural scenery.
Overnight: Dades Valley
After breakfast, travel toward the magnificent Todra Gorge, a spectacular canyon with towering cliffs that rise over 300 meters above the valley floor. The gorge is a paradise for photographers and nature lovers.
Continuing south, the landscapes gradually transform into desert terrain as you approach Merzouga, gateway to the Sahara Desert.
In the afternoon, meet your camel caravan and begin a memorable trek across the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi. As the sun sets over the Sahara, the dunes change colors, creating one of Morocco’s most magical experiences.
Arrive at your luxury desert camp where you’ll enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner, local music around the campfire, and a night beneath a sky filled with stars.
Overnight: Luxury Desert Camp in Merzouga
Wake early to witness a breathtaking Sahara sunrise before returning by camel to Merzouga.
After breakfast, begin the journey north toward Fes. Along the way, pass through the Ziz Valley, one of Morocco’s largest palm oases, and travel through the cedar forests of the Middle Atlas Mountains.
A stop in Ifrane, often called the “Switzerland of Morocco,” offers a striking contrast to the desert landscapes. Known for its clean streets, alpine-style architecture, and cool climate, Ifrane is one of Morocco’s most unique towns.
By evening, arrive in Fes, Morocco’s spiritual and cultural capital.
Overnight: Traditional Riad in Fes
After breakfast, depart Fes and head toward the Rif Mountains. The scenic drive takes you through rolling hills, olive groves, and charming rural villages.
Arrive in Chefchaouen, Morocco’s famous Blue City. Nestled among the mountains, this enchanting destination is renowned for its blue-painted streets, whitewashed houses, and relaxed atmosphere.
Spend the afternoon exploring the picturesque medina, browsing artisan shops, and discovering hidden corners filled with colorful doorways and flower-covered alleyways.
Chefchaouen offers some of the most photogenic scenery in Morocco and provides a peaceful contrast to the bustling imperial cities.
Overnight: Chefchaouen
Enjoy a leisurely morning in Chefchaouen before continuing north toward Tangier.
Upon arrival, discover the city that has fascinated travelers, artists, and writers for centuries. Located at the meeting point of the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean, Tangier offers a unique blend of cultures and influences.
Visit the historic Medina, the Kasbah, and scenic viewpoints overlooking the Strait of Gibraltar. On clear days, you can even see the coast of Spain across the water.
Your memorable Moroccan adventure concludes in Tangier, leaving you with unforgettable memories of deserts, mountains, ancient cities, and vibrant cultures.
